Natural Resources Reform
In response to Governor Chris Gregoire’s Natural Resources Reform initiative, Washington state agencies have created an online service making it easier for people and businesses to find what they need from Washington’s natural resources agencies.
The new “One Front Door to Washington’s Outdoors” Web portal opens the door to environmental services, permits, outdoor recreation, natural resources, forestry, farming and more. It can be accessed from numerous state agency websites. Here’s a direct link: http://access.wa.gov/environment/index.aspx
Natural Resources Cabinet members have signed a "Commitment to Service Excellence" (signed, scanned version | web-accessible version) on behalf of their agencies.
In December 2009, the Governor signed an executive order that, among other things, established the Natural Resources Cabinet making state government more accountable to citizens for improved customer service, efficiency and effectiveness.
